Very potent corton charlemagne. The wine is tannic with a lot of structure. Wet stones, stone fruit with great mineral Ity, keeps on changing and amplifying. Would benefit from a couple more years of cellaring. Magnificent effort from bought grapes.

Wine No. 5 in the 2016 white Grand Cru lineup tasted blind. We knew the identities but not the order of service. A very intense mineral nose with plenty of struck match/sulphur white flesh fruits. Quite reductive. Medium plus verging on profound intensity on the palate. Everything about this wine is intense and powerful. A long future ahead. Would rate a higher score once the sulphur blows off. Proves again that 2016 in certain areas was a very good vintage for whites. After the initial frost everything went well.
