Firm tannin, striking acidity but with a roundness and velvet finish. Red fruit and charcoal.

WE gave this a 91 and it is Bordeaux-style red BUT merlot led red so big medium bold and not able to sing yet so just a wanna be beautiful - has style and finesse but needs some makeup - not as bad as lip stick on a pig makeup but some makeup none the less - man the plans I had for this wine - going to let the other 5 get more beauty rest and pray it helps - not my normal over the top early Sunday afternoon watching NFL football smile but the good thing is wine in enough glasses will produce a smile so starting to smile - will need a better wine for dinner to sleep with a big smile

Welcome to Friday and I have picked up a Right Bank Bordeaux Blend from the state Washington the 2013 DeLille Cellar D2. 57% Merlot, 33% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot. Upon opening, there is beautifully expressive dark fruit wafting over the rim of the glass with a lasting impression of blackberries, black currant, black cherry, plum, sweet ripe strawberry, cassis, cherry licorice, and sweet tobacco. With the first taste on the palate there is lovely blackberry, black cherry, kirsch, strawberry, black currant, green bell pepper, and bit of leather, and a smokey note. This wine is well balanced with medium + acidity and a smooth mouth feel with fine sandy tannins. For a second lable wine this is a hell of a deal. For a young wine this is drinking well right now. I would recommend this wine all day long. Have a great weekend. Nostrovia!

Pleasant wine. Not incredibly complex on the palate but shows great layers of dark and red fruits. Nice medium body with a fruit forward appeal that finishes soft with a gentle oak expression.

Fruit-forward Merlot-based blend with a shallow of tannins and acid. Dark, staining magenta with some sediment, nose sees muted cherries, palette is strong with jammy raspberries/cherries, long aftertaste. Not usually a big Merlot fan, but this Delille blend has enough heft and tannins to stand along side WA cab-based blends.

Glad we found this one - it's listed on BRG's wine list as a Cab, but with majority merlot & only 30% Cab, clearly not. Really, really good!

Good value Bordeaux blend. Merlot shows well without losing the nuance of the other grapes. After 1-2 hours open it was really showing.
