Delas Frères Ventoux Red Rhone Blend 2018

Founded over 160 years ago, Delas Frères was acquired by Champagne Deutz in 1977. Deep Ruby with pronounced aromas of red berry fruits and slight spice. On the palate juicy red berry fruit flavors accompanied by gentle spice. Soft tannins rounding out to a medium finish. Great value on this Rhône Red!

Raspberries, black cherry. Some pepper. Background of herb. This will be great with pizza.

2018 vintage. Honoring the Tour de France that starts on Saturday and the proceedings will be largely shaped by what transpires in the Ventoux region. First Ventoux so initial impressions...Rhône spice married to Burgundy body. A little tartness blew off after 10 minutes. Value play.

The alcohol jumps at you from the glass. Very juicy red fruits on the palate, medium bodied and brief, mellow spice finish. Not a ton of complexity but easygoing
