Clos des Papes - CdP WNH tasting — different vintages - I tasted the 2005 vintage - wine spectator wine of the year 2007 - balanced- medium body - medium acidity - silky tannins - dark purple with transparent edges - two hour decant and then this wine was singing - huge smiles

Dark ruby, almost opaque. Plum, kirsch, smoke, anise in the nose. Impact in the mouth is over the top. Heavy and heated. Lots of fruit and structure but not my kind of wine.
