Medium ruby pink rim, quite thin rim. More dense and darker on the nose than the Chapelle . Dark plum , blackberry , dark cherry , touch of spice again , quite dense , with a touch of spice on the medium length finish . Lacks the elegance of the Chapelle , a bit more tannic and bigger boned , less fresh perhaps , but a touch more mineral also . Needs more time , another 3-5 years and will show well for a further 5 -8. Again successful but the La Chapelle just comes out in front , though this will be longer lived .

Very special vintage second growth Boudreaux with captivating nose of red rose petals, so apparent I can feel them! Pallet is beautiful: exquisitely balanced, full, lengthy finish, crowd pleaser.

Expanding my French palette again, left bank this time. Dark ruby and purple. So aromatic! Blueberries, plum, licorice, black olives, pencil shavings, tobacco, cherry, moss. A bit tight, young, dry, but an hour in starting to open up. Smooth and lovely drinking. Nice soft finish. Enjoyable!
