Wednesday Wine Committee “Founder’s Day”, honoring those who started this tradition back in the ‘70s. What an incredible group and tradition they started! My guess was right bank Bordeaux. Very extracted up front. Didn’t get much peppercorn/spicy red fruit on this up front like most CdPs. Older bing cherry, herbal spice and some cedar. I enjoy their Gigondas bottle the most.

A dark brooding CdP. Deep fig and iron, with a decent dose of oak. Not my favorite style for a Grenache based wine, but good nevertheless. Wished for a little more freshness.
