Deep ruby coloration. On the nose, cherry, blackberry, smokiness, toasted oak, anise, plum and vanilla. On the plate, medium to full body, blackberry, anise, dark cherry, plum, jammy, ripe fruits, citrus peel and minerals in the finish. Medium finish. Balanced tannins. They are still definitely present. Layered and complex palate. Revisited after an hour later (decanted for 5 hours) and the palate is extremely and beautifully floral with vanilla and a long and powerful citrus peel finish.
