Solid. Good balance here, needs a few years but the components are there. I’m a repeat buyer at €15

A sleeper of the vintage, the 2015 Charmail has turned out beautifully. The interplay of intense dark fruit and savory notes yields an expressive Haut-Médoc of character and distinction. Best of all, the 2015 is a superb value. The blend is 38% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 14% Cabernet Franc and 13% Petit Verdot. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Feb 2018)

Oh that’s nice! Dark berries, herbaceous, old leather and earth, cocoa, graphite, hints of spice at the end. Will only get better with time.

Takes a minute to open up, but once it does, it is earthy, medium bodied and fruity. The fruit isn’t overwhelming but restrained and complemented by a nice minerality and bite.
