Second wine in flight four for the Bordeaux Master's Class at Heart's Delight with wines from Saint Julien and Pauillac. Deep ruby core with garnet edges. Quite tight and mute on the nose, with a touch of dark fruits and some burnt notes. More rounded than the 2014. Medium tannins (6/10) and medium bodied. A touch green on the palate with red berries. Medium plus to long finish. Drink till 2024.

金木犀薫るなか、遅ればせながら一回目のワクチン(P社)接種をしてまいりました。20時現在、目立った副反応派ないようです。 夕食に以前購入のうきうき5本セット15000円福袋から取り出し、よく考えず開けたのがこちらのボルドー。 ベイシュベルじゃないかーい! 10年もの、1万円〜2万円のワインをハンバーグをお供に飲んでしまいました。orz 柔らかなタンニンと余韻の長さはさすが秀逸。一方で若干の青臭さが気になりました。 正直、3000円くらいのクオリティ。 追伸 翌々日も劣化なし、開くこともありませんでした。3000円くらいのクオリティかな。

Another tasting! 30-35 year old vines composed of 47% cab, 47% merlot, 5% cab franc, 2% petit verdot. Smells full of dark fruit, very plush. Dark cherry notes predominate, with some black currant and blue berries. Appreciably greater complexity than Beychevelle’s second label. Very smooth. Hint of smokiness. Very well balanced. Nice mouthy feel. The tannins are strong and quite restricted at the back end. Slightly too acidic, it's a bit early for this one (but I’m nit picking) Overall Amazing. In 10 years or so this is going to be ridiculous. I’m finding it difficult to rate the wine I’m tasting in the current moment versus what it will become over the next 10 years. Either way, the experience was gold.

Tasted at Chateau CS 47% M 47% CF 4% PV 2% Deep almost inky with slight sign of development on the rim, some bricking but still youthful. Classic Bordeaux bouquet of savory infused black fruit. Complex nose of enticing barnyard funk, seabreeze, new leather, cooking spice. On the palate, still very structured. Mouth stainingly full tannin, med body, dry. Cassis, blackberry, dark cherry commingling with mature signs of development. Sage, thyme, cattle range, forest floor, mushroom, smoky, and nutty new oak. Impressively classic. Will need at least 10 years more to not be accused of committing infanticide. 90++
