Friday night and tonight's wine is the 2016 Castello di Neive Barbaresco. This wine is 100% Nebbiolo from Neive, Italy. On the nose there is cherry, raspberry, strawberry, anise, rose and dry soil. On the palate is cherry, raspberry, rose, spice, licorice, soft oak, clay pot and earth. This wine is medium body with medium+ acidity and medium + to high mouth coating fine sandpaper tannins that leads into a long drying red fruit finish. Really nice wine I picked up at Costco. Medium to light bodied, tart cherries, dry strawberries, cardboard (good thing), and wet rock. High acidity with a tart cherries tast. Coats the tongue for awhile but that is what I like. Would by again
