Layers of lush cherries & some dark fruits and pie spice, cedar & earth flow in silky waves from front to finish. Stunning acidity. Pure, fresh, balanced. #ORwine

A blend of Pommard and clones 777 and 115, all rooted in ancient marine sedimentary soils that form the foundation and consequently the backbone of the 2012 Angela Abbott Claim Vineyard. Textbook growing conditions combined with this stellar site have yielded a wine with heady, rapturous aromas of hibiscus, musky black tea, mushrooms, truffles, smokey incense and lush black cherries. It's a perfect ying-yang between masculine and feminine flavors and structure, with a silken, fleshy mid-palate offset by vivid acidity, and fine, firm tannins. A somewhat big Pinot Noir that has maintained its poise, it's also still slightly tight—consider tucking this one away in the cellar for another 5-7 years. 12.9% ABV Sample

Punctuated pure cherry - spice - and richness. Gorgeous nose! fruit focused but with layers of character all set to evolve and reveal itself from this perfect vintage. This will be one of the 240 Pinot featured at #Starsofpinot #angelaestate @starsofpinot

I forgot I even had this left in the cellar. Definitely a drink now if you have any (drinking June 27, 2021). Smokey blackberry aromas. Earthy, cedar, leather, and cinnamon notes...aka all secondary notes as the primary fruit notes are gone. At this stage, I'd say 87 or so pts but still enjoyable.
