#KWN Wine 4. My notes are getting shorter as the night goes on! Cherry and forest floor flavors dominate. Smooth and silky. Impressive.

Nicely balanced acidity mingles with rich black and red fruit. Light notes of smoke and sweet baking spices mix with vanilla cola to frame the ample RRV fruit. Drinking wonderfully now but will shine in a few more years.

2011 vintage. Explosive expensive spicy oak nose. Light/light medium body. Delicate rose petals, orange zest, cola, rhubarb and a little cedar dust. Finished softly but oh what a nose!

I have hated many a time on williams Selyem for their highly done up plastic surgery wine stylez but I must say this time around we have something clearly enjoyable and nonetheless gone under the knife. Rounded, earthy, robust, a lot of berries and a lot of earth but Jesus do I wish these guys would let the grapes express themselves and focus on what's happening in the vineyard. I could be misguided in my judgements but it's just too loud and too short to be real. If you're American you'll like this. Do I listen to pop music because I'm depressed or am I depressed because I listen to pop music?
