This Sonoma blend of mostly zin and p.s. is dark purple with medium viscosity; wonderful dark red and blue fuits, raspberries, tea, earth, liquorice, and oak on the nose; fruit-forward, balanced and elegant and with a smooth long finish. Great value!

Prefer to three valleys. Ageable and affordable. Can taste the new oak in the mid-palate along with dusty fruit and strong, brooding tannins. Tastes throughout the day and was never the same incarnation. Quite the experience.... putting some away for a rainy day.

I was able to attend another Wednesday Wine Committee this week and it did not disappoint (they never do). As normal, all wines are tasted blind (1 sparkler, 3 whites, 4 reds, 1 dessert). My red of the day. Proudly, I actually guessed the blend and the producer correct (thought it was either Ridge, Carlisle or Martinelli). Figured it to be young. Inky color. Jam packed up front with black fruit and a small amount of blueberries, but the mid palate showed more finesse and the finish was gorgeous. Still tight, but lots of potential.

Our friends shared anecdotes about hanging out with Paul Draper in the 1970s, so it had to be a Ridge night. What a stunner with masses of tannins and acidity, rich with black cherries. It could do with a few years but fun to try now.

Bright cherry, acidic. Goes well with Red Hawk cheese.

So fruity but very nice acidity and some earthy notes that make this so we'll balanced. I want to buy a case and see what happens with this wine over the next 10 years

Mostly cherries and nice medium low acidity. Some unstructured tannins make this wine a little soft but it drinks nicely.
