The most consistent dry wine producer I have experience with. Lavender and dirty strawberry

Floral aromas and intense berry flavors. Supple and elegant with a lovely, long finish. Great with my ramen at Dune in Nantucket.

A good example of tca not ruining a wine. A little wet cardboard on top of dense raspberry/blackberry fruit. Good intergration of oak and some nice dark chocolate and spicy herbs. I will try again. Hopefully no more tca in the next.

Pairing it up with some Moroccan lamb with tomato and eggplant. Spicy, black fruits on the palate with some olive and bitter herbal accents. Should be a nice foil for the tagine.

Takes me back to my days living in Lisbon - 2004-2006. Nice field blended Douro tinto. Over the years, the style of the non-reserve wines has started to resemble the international style of their bigger brother reservas, which IMHO is unfortunate. I always liked the more rustic style of the non-reserve wines. Still a very good wine, perfect with a gamey steak, lamb or even pizza.

Solid wine. Floral bouquet. Dried red fruit, plums on the attack. Baking spice and tobacco, iron and a bit of licorice on the finish. Low acidity and tannins.
