Really something special, the lees have integrated into this wine soo much I have nothing to compare it to. Plus it is the year I graduated high school!

Damned delicious. Aged on the lees for @ 16 years. I've never got this on the nose for a Champagne before, but, like freshly drawn butter. But not buttery tasting, in fact quite mineral with some fennel, and texture edging toward Chenin Blanc. A total trip and a total treat.

Really think these P's are interesting, yes they are not inexpensive, but to be drinking a beautifully aged champagne with the richness of Dom I think they are worth it, this still has a little reduction, quite rich, which is typical of the vintage, beautiful stuff.

The strong inoculated yeast aroma & flavor of DP becomes less pronounced over time, and the lower dosage of the later disgorged P2 offerings (the back label says 16 years of elevage) lets the wine show more clearly. It is amazing to me that they can make so much of this and have it turn out this well.

A roller coaster experience of a wine. Taut and racy at first showing crunchy apple, saline, and honey before exploding into rich, autolytic, caramelized nutty goodness in the mid-palate and finish. Tremendous.
