Bosc pear, overripe pineapple, butterscotch candy, brioche, soft bubbles, silky chalk and acid a little high. I know a lot people love this champagne but there are better for less $.

Honestly, if I had this blind I probably wouldn't pick this as clearly superior to other good champagnes. Is it good? Sure. Is it miles above its peers as indicated by its price? Probably not. I enjoyed it anyway, though.

dominating citrus offset by some red fruit flavors ~ pop of minerality w slight nuttiness ~ as always the texture is created by the extraordinary tight beads

Nose here is rather exotic with a bit of air (maybe due to the heat of the vintage?), honeydew melon, peach and even a touch of lychee along with touch of hazelnut. In the mouth this really is quite unctuous and full, showing its class with an instant lift on the front palate, sprightly mid palate and a rounded elegant mineral finish though not a huge length. Plenty of unfulfilled potential here that should come round with further bottle age.
