Sipping Fine Wine

LIOCO is the result of a long collaboration between Matt Licklider (a wine importer) and Kevin O'Connor (former wine director at Spago-Beverly Hills). Dark Ruby with Aromas of sweet black fruits and earthy spice. 30% of the fruit comes from the famed Hirsch Vineyard. On the palate raspberry with floral notes. Soft tannins, well made, lingering with a complex ending balanced between fruit, spice and sweetness. A must try.

Crunchy red fruits- rhubarb, currant, pomegranate with just a little woody funk

This wine (and the Lioco Hanzell Chard) consistently broaden my horizons on what's possible with the right fruit and the right wine making technique. With beautiful red fruit on the nose and palate that lead to a structured earthiness on it's finish. It's great with food or on its own, it's wine like this that keeps pulling me back to pulling more corks.
