Amazing with spicy sausage, onions and peppers. Brings out the sweet fruity flavor. One of the best finds while visiting Heitz.

An interesting grape I've never tried before, Grignolino, is medium-intensity ruby red, beautiful color. There are medium(-) aromas of roses, strawberry, cranberry, and slate. More of the same on the palate, but very dry, even austere when you factor in the medium (+) acidity and some tannic grip. Have it with food, and only serve it as a cocktail blind to a roomful of bearded hipsters.

The best part of this wine is the smell, it's like a synthetic candle smell of some sort but it's natural as contradictory as that sounds, nice bite and sourness, not much tannin
