Huge black fruit with musty earthiness. Impossible white pepper/pine wood infestation on the nose. Herbaceous rosemary flavor on the palate. The palate has a lengthy finish with nice neutral wood flavors. Goes on forever. Really nice, firmly tannic, could use a bit more time but drinking well now.

Out of magnum. So good. So much evolution over 4+ hours. Tight and wound up at first, but still delicious. Then evolved into dinstictive Cornas. Finished almost tasting like nebbiolo from Piemonte. Loved it with lamb.

2009. My favorite of the night. So perfumed. Flowers, raspberry jam, stones, herbs. Elegant but still structured. Perfect marriage of fruit and earth. This is beautiful stuff.

New producer for me. Tonight it was dark and elegant but holding something back. Will visit second half of bottle tomorrow.
