Цветы вишни, лёгкий мёд, крепкие абрикосы, зелёная алыча, лайм, щавель, кварцевые минеральные тона. Полно, глубоко, фактурно, с едва ощутимой сладостью, которую тут же смывает длящаяся в послевкусии вертикальная кислотность. Ещё молодо и при всей своей рельефности все же чуть прямолинейно и лишено тонких нюансов. В целом звонко, радужно и привлекательно. (Чисто, без шерсти, пепла и соломы. Вслепую, может быть, спутал бы его с грюнером или чем-то околорислинговым) (На второй день теряет в объёме, уплощается, схлопывается в кислое яблоко и желтую грушу. Интересным образом сладость тоже уходит, вино становится значительно суше).

Solid grapefruit-flavored Chenin Blanc, with a nice but not distinctive nose. Chateau des Vaults is always good, but their wine from the Clos de Papillon lieu-dits is better and worth the price difference. Still, a great value st $23.

Such an interesting wine. Thick and rich, spicy, yet lean and clean...richness from the variety and the vineyard, and the oxygen involved in the winemaking, but pretty mineral acidity and nice moderate alcohol, phenolic weight, not glycerol fat.

Kind of concentrated, nose is tight, unyielding with just mineral and undefined notes suggesting bruised fruit skin. opens up with a green mulberry in the texture and a viscous mineral acidity – tastes of slate and even a slight pungent "barnyard" salinity - caramelized onion? None of the waxy honeyed lanolin which usually characterizes Savennieres. One of the most vexing bottles I've had in a long while. Not wholly satisfying. Interesting. I'm convinced I'm drinking this way too early.

Such an amazing Chenin, probably best I've ever had so far. Has such a richness and yet is still so nimble and focused. Great complexity and density. High acid, medium body with some supple oily texture from lees contact as well. Pours a medium, translucent gold color. Nose reveals high concentration of bruised yellow apple and Anjou pear, wooly lanolin character, beeswax and raw honey, chalky minerality, honeysuckle and chamomile, and an almost soy sauce-esque funky umami character. Palate echoes the nose almost identically but is just a touch leaner and chalkier. Dry but not totally bone dry. Such an incredible white wine for a snowy winter night like tonight.
