All the fruit is in at Theorem. Our Voir Dire blocks came in heavier than expected and the fruit looks great, so we’re excited to see the 2018 become wine. As for the Dom, I tasted the 2006 at Promontory on Friday, followed by the 2009 later that day at Theorem and felt like the 2009 needed a little time, but after processing 8+ tons of fruit today, the 2009 was perfect. Both @Shay A and @Antonio Galloni ‘s notes are excellent and I have nothing to add other than it’s really, really delicious (harvest exhaustion affects the vocabulary...).

Absolutely delicious. Not super complex, but very easy to drink and enjoy, even at this very early stage. A terrific bottle of the 2009.

What a tremendous disappointment this was. Zippy, bouncy bubbles culminating in a flat palate. This wine should be so.much better for.the notoriety, name and vintage.

I imagine this will go up by a point or two in the next few years but it’s crazy young. That being said, it’s quite easy to sip. Creamy on the front palate...bubbles are so tiny it’s hard to pick them out. Toasted brioche, limestone, honeyed cashews show once this has had an hour+ to open. Dom always has such a nice mid-palate of candied fruit and toasted honeycomb. Give it time!
