"Odedi"

Dark ruby in color with a thin purplish rim. Nice nose with red flowers, blackberries, blueberries, sweet plums, cherries, wood, licorice, spices, vegetables, smoke, bell pepper, peppermint, light coffee, wet rocks, earth, light black pepper, leather, light vanilla, tobacco and bitter herbs. Complex, but still Very tight. Medium bodied and soft, with medium plus acidity and nice legs. Dry on the palate with blackberries, plums, cherries, currants, oak, vanilla, light cloves, vinaigrette and peppercorn. Nice length on the finish with firm, green tannins and black pepper. This 6 year old is still young and tight. Nonetheless, it is enjoyable by itself and better with food. Not fully balanced yet, but shows Nice complexity. Light and soft mouthfeel. Needs 5 years in the bottle to mature, but I liked it already. Much more approachable after 15 minutes. Became earthier and austere after 90 minutes of airtime. (Review is after 30 minutes of airtime) 90 points Robert Parker. A blend of 65% Merlot, 29% Cabernet Sauvignon 3% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petite Verdot. 14% alcohol by volume.
