Supremely suprised how well the 2003s are drinking and holding up. When young they were big fruit and low acid. Didn't think that they had what it takes to live but boy was I wrong. Never been so glad to be wrong

Amazing. Black fruits and baking spice on the nose. Smooth and long finish with notes of jam and cinnamon. Best Bordeaux I've had in awhile.

Nice ‘03. The dark fruit is fading a touch but still present. More of the cedar wood coming through and creme de cassis. Surprised how light it was, this was not tannic or overpowering at all. Definitely on the back 9 of its shelf life.

Paid 33 bucks for this, according to the sticker on the bottle. I think it was at Cost Plus in 4S Ranch, probably in 2006... should’ve bought more. Awesome, classic, left-bank Bordeaux.

In a good place still very young lots of clay pot, silky tannins, big cherry focus, minimal pyrazine, has a lot of menthol on open, not too floral, I have a little left so it's safe to assume it'll taste better after presents

After the 1996, now it's the 2003 the next day!

Wow! The 2003s were supposed to be a great vintage in Bordeaux, and if this is a typical example, it certainly was.

Nose of cedar, coffee, burnt sugar, mint and a hint of pyrazine. Palate of red fruit. The vintage shows just a little at the finish with a hint of raisin but overall it's pretty balanced. Mid weight with ripe tannins. Drinking well.
