Mouthwatering savory and salty nose.. loads of mushroom, black tea, raspberry, dark chocolate and spice. Huge umami expressions - with fruit, earth and funk all mingling nicely on the palate. Great buy at less than $20.

Super delicate color. Forward graphite, bell pepper and fresh red berry nose. Fresh cherry and a touch a black pepper. Quite complex. Shortish finish

Juicy and tart from a tough vintage. Great freshness, though.

Nice freshness in the 2013s I've had so far. I think the nose on this wine is always my favorite part; it's always, for me quintessentially Cabernet Franc.

Bright, easy going red fruited Cabernet Franc. Doesn't have the tannic structure of the higher level Joguet bottlings, but hits the spot with Monday night roast chicken.

Nice lithe, elegant little Chinon from Jouget. Nice med (+) acidity, some light, fine tannic grip, and relatively lean body make for a juicy, nimble, versatile red. Even with the lean body, there's still a nice complexity and concentration of flavor in this wine. Wild cherry and raspberry, green bell pepper and coriander, pencil shavings, rhubarb, fresh rose petal, and granitic, gravelly earth. There's just a touch of brett that adds a bit of complexity as well. Really nice stuff. Again, Kermit never steers me wrong. Also, this would be a killer BBQ wine.
