QPR King for new world Syrah. Yes, rich fruit, but also nice acidity, olives and meat. Yum.

Great Northern Rhone-esque character (just with more new world oak). Intensity with floral aromatics and density.

Bold fruit, dried floral, leather, meaty Syrah. Good value!

Pot roast wine number two. Young, juicy, exuberant. On the second day the structure and non-fruit components peek out shyly from around the corner, hinting at what's to come with a little patience. QPR steal.

Serious Syrah, overperforms its price tag by an order of magnitude. Rich and spicy, with searing acidity to balance the deep and layered black fruit, and classic No. Rhone elements of roasted meat and olive. Rare for me to love wines where the oak is somewhat noticeable, but this is an exception. Can only imagine how deep the Weill Syrahs must be...

I had very high expectations for this wine. I had heard a lot of very good things about Bedrock. This was my first one. It came out of the bottle hot. Despite a couple of hours, it remained mostly hot. Strawberry and cassis on the nose. Definite American oak. A slightly bitter and metallic finish. I was surprised to read the back label that claimed this was cool climate. It doesn't feel like that at all....
