2009 Biondi-Santi Brunello di Montalcino This week I had the pleasure of having the wine above which surprised me a bit. I am beginning to like these Brunello's. The wine has a nice fruit forward nose with notes of cherry, raspberry, plum, clay and dried roses. On the palate are expressive fruit of tart cherry, red plum, strawberry, licorice, white pepper and forest floor. There is a full bodied full mouth feel, medium + Acidity and Medium + firm silky tannins. A very nice bottle of wine and enjoyable to drink. Nostrovia!

2009 Biondi-Santi Brunello di Montalcino - tasted out of eonomatic. Hazy deep ruby color. Pronounced aromas of caramel, cherry and earth. Developing over-ripe red fruits with leather and herbs. Medium acid, smooth tannins, long finish. You can feel the ripeness from the heatwave of 2009. I would drink now or maybe hold for a few more years.

Reductive nose, wants lots of air. Blew off after 20 mins. Rustic classic style

Such a lucky day. Incredible afternoon wine with good friends/family. It doesn't get any better. Oh by the way the Biondi santi was full of cherries earth and endless length.

ヴェネチアで宿泊したWESTIN EUROPE &REGINAのメインダイニング、LA CUSINAで夕食。メインはガッツリ肉なのでしっかりした1本をチョイス。

A serious Brunello from one of the best makers in Montalcino. Savoury with big dry tannins - some bitter plum skin notes. Built for the long haul like most B Santi wines.

Immediately attacked by red fruit and smoked herbs. Somewhat lean in the mouth due to the high acid. Lots of leather and earth but flavors are holding back. Will time fix all?
