Renaissance Vineyard & Winery Estate Bottled North Yuba Cabernet Sauvignon 1995

9.26 ratings on Delectable
$92.99

Lean and earthy, with a level of oenological restraint rarely seen in California Cabernet during the '90s. Althogh drikning well today, there's plenty of energy and composure here, pointing to a wine with serious longevity.

At first, dark berries & black currants took center stage, but as it got some air, forest floor, cedar, and fresh tobacco made its way into the spotlight. Layers of smooth, silky texture coated the mouth, and the bold, well-integrated tannins simply gave it depth along with a solid acidic backbone. It was stunning and didn't even give a hint of oxidation after being open for 3+ hours. What a treat for NYE.

12.5. Very interesting. This may require some research. Nicely integrated tannins.
