Giuseppe Quintarelli Primofiore Veneto Corvina Blend 2011

$57.99

Called the first flower since it is always the first red wine released from each vintage, and no dried grapes are used in the production, the Primofiore still spends several years in cask prior to release.

A great Valpolicella/Cabernet mashup. Ripe blackberry fruit, balsamic, bell pepper notes. Great with sausage and basil pizza.

Not a ton of years left on this but still so pure and fresh. Much better than paying $350 for the Amarone

Garmet core with clesr rim. Med plus intense aroma, Concentrated aromas of Red plum, cherries, flower blossoms, hint of clay earthiness and hint of tabacco on the nose. Dry, Med plus body, med plus acidity, soft tannins(med minus), round, silky and smooth texture with approachable amount of jammed cherry fruit. Hint of mineral Structures which is pleasurable. Yum. Easy drinking valpolicella. Drunk

Phenomenal. Complex nose of funk, earthy fall potpourri, dried flowers and fruit that is both bright and slightly stewed at the same time. A bit of Christmas fruitcake. A bit of pyrazine. You can taste and feel the Amarone bones but without any of the heaviness and pruney treacle. Soft tannins become slightly dusty after a long finish.
