Bring out the chisel-chunks o' rock & fruit, but really more fluid (ha!) than that. Donnhof really rocks (ha!)

I love Riesling, and I love bright acidity, but there is a line. On occasion, piercing acidity is your best friend, but my palate prefers round and tangy to electric and staunch. Enter: Dönnhoff. A rich kabinett with punchy lychee, lime zest, and honeysuckle. A touch of cardamom and not-even-cracked white pepper balance the fleshy white peach and green grape fruit. Like pear rock candy, spectacular.

Always tough pairing wines with cereal but this worked. Oodles of melon, papaya, lime. Just sort of wafts across the palate with a long, deliberate finish. Med dry with def sugar presence but light as the breeze. Excellent.

Peach and over ripe cantaloupe. Off sweet with a touch of salinity and acid. Not thin. Very well balanced. That salinity may be the pork chop I just ate with it, which paired perfectly btw. @andtheperfectpairing
