Domaines des Marnes Blanches Empreinte Côtes du Jura Savagnin 2010

$34.99

In the far southern subregion of Sud-Revermont (JF Ganevat’s stomping grounds), the young husband-and-wife team of Pauline and Geraud Fromont specialize in whites, and truly shine at their sous-voile Savagnin. At a recent blind tasting of 40 Jura wines, this was the clear front-runner, with all the showy mustard powder, walnut, and marzipan framing a beautifully sweet, ripe yellow-fruited core, and finishing very dry. With giants like Jacques Puffeney stepping down, it is a delight to find new estates taking up the challenge of this complex and rewarding style. 25 cases imported.
