Domaine Francois Bertheau Chambolle-Musigny Pinot Noir 2013

9.09 ratings on Delectable
$59.99

Bertheau eschews new oak flavors, and this village wine is - very rarely for Chambolle Musigny - aged entirely in foudre. This is top level village wine.

Very good but just a touch less pretty and focused than the bottle I had a few months ago. The fruit seemed broader and the oak was less resolved. But for 68 euros on a restaurant wine list, I'm not complaining.

It didn't take long for this to disappear. Youthful but complex and refreshing.

2013. The nose was stewed and weird. Palate was a lot better. Shipping was fine so hopefully just an off btl

@Mike Smith I'm sorry that it disappointed! Was it too young or did it lack structure?
