Like a funky cheese on the nose. Yet surprising fruit on the palate.

Sauvignin grape related to Gewürztraminer. Weird. Sherry or port style. Oxidized fruit. Mellow vanilla caramel honey finish. Smells funky and reminds me of the open wines I removed from Dave's apartment. Apple cider vinegar. Smashed mixed nuts. Caramel apple on the end, but have to get past the smell. Max opened 5 days ago and it's oxidized so thag doesn't matter, helps. Funky foraged mushrooms or forest floor aroma?

They were pouring this BTG at central kitchen. How could I say no?! Hazelnuts, toffee/peanut brittle but still very savory all the while. Some floral component that was hard for me to put my finger on.
