Domaine de Montbourgeau Cuvée Spéciale L'Etoile Savagnin 2011

9.08 ratings on Delectable
$35.99

L'Etoile is located in the southwestern corner of the Jura and most likely gets its name from the ubiquitous presence of star-shaped fossils in the soils. The "Cuvee Speciale" from Montbourgeau is 100% Chardonnay and aged in barrel for 4 to 5 years. The long elevage engenders this wine with earthy, nutty aromatics and a honeyed, rich yet almost austere palate.

Great qpr, I love these wines and luckily not many in Missouri buy Jura so usually easy to find. Decanted all day, it definitely needs it!
