This wine has years left in it. Still so juicy. Drinks brilliantly now so don't hesitate. But it's got at least 5 more years in it.

From a ripe vintage. Ripe blackberries, black licorice, Provence spice, juniper, vanilla toast, soft leather and a smooth finish. Very good but better in another 5-8 years.

Tannins are a bit gripping still but the fruit & aromatics are quite pretty

The 03 Bordeaux vintage on the palate is more CA Cabernet then true Bordeaux but the nose on the D'Armailhac is certainly Bordeaux. Rich ripe blackberries, dark raspberry cola, dark cherries, asian spice, black tea, a slight tarry quality, barrel toast of baking spices/caramel and vanilla, black earth, saddlewood, crushed rocks and a long intermix of fruit and minerals on the finish

Blackberries, black plum, strawberries, cherries, spice box, black tea, leather, wet black earth and nice mineral finish. From one of the hottest recent Bordeaux vintages in the last two or three decades. The Cabernet over ripened for Bordeaux.

Clear signs of boil over on the cork (shown).Expected it to be cooked, but was still dark ruby, tannic, full, and even reduction on the nose. Lucky!

Cinnamon spice and everything nice. Bold with loads of fruit and solid color given it's a 13-14 year old wine. Classic Bordeaux notes: tar, tea, truffle and blueberry and raspberry flavors. Indian spice and chocolate notes on the finish. Remarkable.

Many 2003 Bordeaux I am not thrilled with. This one is aging nicely. The tannins are soft, but the fruit and secondary flavors of tobacco, lavender and anise are lovely.

Very easy drinking for a 2003. Expected a bit more complexity but can't complain about the taste.
