Azienda Agricola Brovia La Villerina Secca Langhe Freisa 2012

Fun fact: Freisa is either a parent or the child of Nebbiolo, a relationship demonstrated by the lighter hue common to both grapes, as well as the fine-boned but firm tannic structure. Named for its scent of wild strawberries, Freisa here also shows a darker side (think gamefowl, lighter renditions of lamb, or pork shoulder for pairing).

First time with this grape. Light, overwhelming strawberry, tannic, super dry. Not rushing back to it.
