Pale lemon color with aromas of ripe stone and tropical fruits and floral notes wrapped in a frizzante. On the palate flavors of peach, apricot and mango with white floral notes. Good balance, lively acidity, medium finish ending with ripe fruit character. Nice!

Uncorking this Moscato was not an easy job, but fun! Sad to see it changes to screw cap for 21’. But still the same exquisite balance between sweetness and acidity.

Unapologetically sweet but the fruit is more complex than most and the sugar-acid balance is almost perfect. It also has more concentration than most and purer too.

2021. Always one of our favorite Moscato d’Asti. Paired great with lightly smoked Gouda and ripe pear.

I think this Moscato d’Asti and Michele Chiarlo’s (Nivole) are my favorite. Both are far better than the widely distributed (at least in the US) Saracco. The Saracco’s I’ve had always suffered from a touch less acidity than is ideal. This Vietti Moscato d’Asti on the other hand has literal mouth-watering acidity which is needed to balance the sweetness and keep the wine fresh. It’s almost ethereal on the palate with notes of the rose, grape, ripe apple and cream.
