Had this in cellar! Outstanding! From the makers of Sassicaia, Deep Ruby with red & black fruits and floral aromas of this 60% Cab Sauv 40% Merlot blend. On the palate flavors of cherry, currants and blackberry with cinnamon, licorice, cacao and earthy notes, well integrated. Fine tannins, approachable, a wine with a solid structure, elegant and smooth, long finish, great mouth feel ending with fruit and spicy oak. Still had room to age. Nice!

Classic wine from a great vintage. Blend of Cab and Merlot. Blackberry and dark cherry on the nose. Palate is bold and opulent with an underlying finesse that is hard to describe. Flavors of dark cherry, berries, and leather meld together beautifully in perfect balance with smooth tannins. This is very drinkable now with a 2 hour decant. One of the best Guidalberto’s in recent memory. Roast some lamb and enjoy! 2016 vintage on Aug 31, 2018.
