Light golden yellow. Lots of citrus notes on the nose, minerality, white flowers and a little pepper touch. Medium plus acidity (6.5/10) and medium bodied. Solid minerality on the palate with lemon zest, stone fruits and a little floral. Long and lingering finish. Drink till 2023.

Got to share this with friends. Meyer lemon, crisp pear, yellow apple, with white floral notes. While low in alcohol, the flavors are still showing ripe characteristics. Very good wine that made me smile.

Honestly, this is one of the great American wines. Honeyed, yet ultra-fresh and bright. Just a kiss of waxy lanolin, but without a hint of being cloying. A real benchmark of American Chenin.

Acidity creates this magnificent tension and dances with the soft floral and lemon/pear notes. Just outstanding and I have another bottle left!

Acid, lemon, a little unripe star fruit. Great pairing with an eclipse. I think we will save a bottle for the next eclipse as well...

Salty loveliness. I think it's granite?

Sandlands continues to push the envelope and raise the bar on California Chenin Blanc. The oaky notes in youth of earlier vintages now show as light spice in a wonderfully balanced wine. This is equal parts citrus & pear with tense acidity, crisp texture & as noted spicy nuance. One of the most exciting producers in the US who gets better with each vintage.

Honeysuckle, beeswax, chamomile and lemon curd nose. The acid hits first and then evolves into underripe peach, and pith, and aromatic citrus like yuzu or pomelo. A wine that makes you want to stick your nose in the glass and rest your forehead on the rim to enjoy.
