FRANCE : LOIRE VALLEY : CHINON Cabernet Franc MEDIUM BODY, RED/BLACK FRUIT, HERBAL, DEVELOPED, NEUTRAL OAK The nose is complex with notes of tobacco, iodine, tomato leaf, earth, and black cherries. The palate has minerality throughout with firm tannins and some more savory qualities. The wine still has some freshness and is very complex. ECOLOGY: Conventional FOOD PAIRING: Meats & Stews

Barnyard and wet ground on nose initially, which dissipated as time went on. Turned to dark fruit and spice on nose, still slight barnyard. Dark cherry with spice on palate, low tannin and acidity. Worked well with grilled skirt steak.
