Second Cabernet Sauvignon from Nickel & Nickel today. Deep purplish ruby red. A touch more approachable than the State Ranch. A touch of the classic 'Rutherford Dust' on the attack of the nose with mixed dark spices and black fruits bringing up the rear. Moderate tannins (6.5/10) and full bodied. Definitely has some more baking spices than the State Ranch and was a tad more integrated. Rich mouthfeel with a touch of anise and black currants. Long finish. Drink till 2026.

Oak, cigar smoke nose. Full, dry, smooth with a whisper of tannins. Loaded with dark fruit. Outstanding!

Dark fruit in the nose, but a surprising intense red fruit flavor, predominantly maraschino cherries
