Lacrau Douro Field Blend 2016

PORTUGAL : DOURO Field Blend: Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional,Tinta Roriz, TInta Barroca FULL-BODIED, DARK FRUIT, PLUM, PIPE TOBACCO, CHOCOLATE, MINERAL, USED OAK “Lacrau” (meaning “scorpion” in Portuguese) relies on the four main grape varietals used for Port production, each sourced from different sites with mineral-rich brown schist soils.  Neither overblown nor overripe, this bottle is proof of just how plush and silky a Douro blend can be, especially with a few years in the bottle.
