Nice light gold color. Great nose. Notes of sautéed apricots, stone, brioche and a little spice. Lots of power. Savored it all night through all the Le Bernadin courses. Last sip was the best.

NYE 2021 starter. 168 is killer, but I’m not surprised…

Deep lemon color with fine creamy mousse and fast bubble flow. Medium intensity aromas of stone fruits, blossom, bread dough and citrus. On the palate flavors of golden apple, peach, lemon citrus and honeysuckle with biscuit toast and nutty notes. Long finish, almost full-body ending with hints of biscuit and citrus. Outstanding, will improve a bit more in the bottle. Tasting Sample.

So immediate. Starts with a blast of lime, seashells crushed to dust, creamsicle, flint/matchstick, citrus and pineapple. This gives way to buttercream, mint, honey, flowers and the purest confectionary notes. Then there’s a a hint of cantaloupe and guava, but the tropical is still subtle. Such aromatic range backed by bracing acid and real resonance on the palate.

Steely, tightly wound, light and really clear. 2012 base. Great acidity and precise, laser like flavors. Excellent stuff.

Always a stunner. The 168 edition has a bit more aldehydic qualities than previous bottling, but no less enjoyable.

Youthful with the 12 being the primary vintage. Notes of citrus, baked apple, pastry dough & mineral.
