ITALY : PIEMONTE : GHEMME Wild Elderflower, Mint, Sicilian Lemon, Lime LIGHT-BODIED, HONEYED ELDERFLOWER, FRESH MINT, CITRUS, CUT GRASS Distillerie Francoli sits in Ghemme, a small town in upper Piemonte under the Alps, flanked by lakes Maggiore and Orta. The family has been distilling here since 1951 — the fifth generation of a tradition that dates to 1875 — and in 2006 the distillery became the first in Italy to earn "Impatto Zero" carbon-neutral certification from LifeGate. Fiorente, their elderflower liqueur launched in 2014, grows naturally out of that environment: wild elderflowers are harvested in the Alpine foothills, dried, and brought to the distillery where some of the purest air and water in Europe do the rest. The recipe is precise: dried elderflowers are macerated in grape neutral spirit, while fresh mint leaves, Sicilian lemon juice, and lime are infused separately to preserve their brightness. The streams are blended — with a measured addition of sugar that's deliberately lower than most elderflower liqueurs — so the floral and herbal notes stay clear rather than disappearing into sweetness. Fiorente was created with the Hugo Spritz in mind — the aperitivo that displaced Aperol in northern Italy with elderflower in place of bitter. Build it simply: 40ml Fiorente over ice, 60ml Prosecco, a splash of sparkling water, lime wedge, mint sprig. 40 Proof Please note: Spirits are only available for local delivery or in-store pickup. All orders for shipping will be cancelled immediately.
