Domaine Michel Lafarge Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2016

$37

France : Burgundy Pinot Noir MEDIUM-BODIED, RED/BLACK FRUIT, SPICE, MINERAL, NEUTRAL OAK Single parcel, Petit Pré, entry-level pinot noir from classic Burgundy producer Michel Lafarge. Considered a “baby Volnay,” this is a great entry into the realm with notes of bright red fruits on the nose, soft tannins, and a great lasting, crisp finish. Biodynamic

High toned perfume, vivacious acidity, lovely elegance and fineness about it. Fruit is cool, beautifully just ripe, and lovely with its pure approach. Strawberry, cranberry, blood orange, mineral, fern forest, and light flower notes. Despite the “lightness,” this has sufficient stuffing to it. Great window into Volnay purity and Lafarge style.

Great wine, really opened up with time.

Not bad, simple but still young, tart and tangy red fruit. Pas mauvais, fruits rouges acidulés dominent le palais de corps moyen.
