Twenty hectares on the southern flank of Crozes-Hermitage, planted mainly to Syrah on the pebble-and-clay terraces of the Chassis plateau. The Bacchus is 100% Syrah from 15-year-old vines, hand-harvested and macerated for 21 days in stainless steel — no oak. The approach is deliberate: fruit clarity over barrel character, Syrah speaking for itself. Jamie Goode scored the 2022 92 points: "bright and energetic… good structure and density but retains its drinkability. Captures the place well."PAIRINGS : Grilled lamb chops with herbes de Provence pepper and herb in the wine locks with the lamb's char; tannin holds against the fat Duck breast with cherry reduction dark fruit amplifies the sauce; enough structure to cut through rendered fat Charcuterie with pâté and olives the tapenade character in this wine makes the pairing almost literal
