Unfortunately my bottle seems marred by brett. As far as I could tell, would have been quite a delicate and dry, spicy pinot otherwise. Just overwhelmingly barnyard.

Rose petals, pretty pretty wine, black pepper, good length and acidity. Ugh clendenen is so good.

More like a Beaujolais. Cinnamon taste upfront. Light and acidic.

Classic Clendenen. Earthy and baking spices, but a ton of finesse. Runs neck and neck with more delicate zins, if you like your fruit. His pinots are some of the most distinctive out west. Not obviously patterned after the RRV "template" or the "rose but with 16psi of juice boost" that seems to infect PNW pinots in this bracket. He did Mary Elke's grapes more justice than just about anyone. His pinots surprise you like a ballerina who can dead lift 300lbs.
