Château Clinet Pomerol Red Bordeaux Blend 2007

$160

France : Bordeaux : Pomerol 85% Merlot, 10% Cab Sauvignon, 5% Cab Franc FULL BODIED, RED/BLACK FRUIT, SPICES, SUPPLE, OAK Delicious aromas of juicy black fruit, such as fresh plums, together with oak and spices. The palate is full of flavour with fresh fruit, such as plum, blackberry and black currant mingling subtly with cloves, toasted vanilla and dark chocolate ganache. The tannins are silky, and the finish is deliciously soft. Conventional

Probably best to wait even longer on this one, but still a treat to drink now.

Lovely espresso, mocha, mineral, spice, smoke and silky tannins just blew my mind.

Outstanding nose. Drank exceptionally well straight after opening the bottle. Continued to improve for 1-2 hrs but fell away after 3 hrs.

2007. Bt mistaken for Margaux's. Matured worrying color but only opens up 3 hrs was a surprise. Skim.

Not quite the 2009 I tasted. Nice nose of toasted oak, graphite, violet, shaved pencil. Palate is rather simple. Not enough fruit. Tannic finish. Not worth the price tag.
