Bodegas Borsao Tres Picos Campo de Borja Garnacha 2018

$21

Spain : Aragon Grenache FULL-BODIED, SILKY TANNINS, SPICE, RED/BLACK FRUIT, MINERAL, NEW OAK This is Grenache on steroids; intense notes of ripe cherry and leather emit from the bouquet setting the tone. The first sip is a burst of blackberry and plum fruit upfront, then woody and vanilla on the back end. Tannins are gently firm, providing support, medium length on finish. Conventional

Ruby color with aromas of black fruit and sweet spice notes. On the palate flavors of cherry and blackberry, cacao and spicy herb notes. Fine drying tannins, nice body and balance, medium finish ending with fruit, leather and earthy mineral character. Nice value.

Quite hot both on the nose and the palate, this premium (15% ABV) bottling from Borsao is a simple, if generous, Garnacha that will likely tick a lot of folk’s boxes. Notes of blackberry, blueberry, black pepper, plum, and coconut line the full bodied, macho palate. Not a subtle wine, but I can see why it’s popular. Not really my cup of tea.

Clear Pale med ruby Nose- sour cherry, strawberr, raspberry, sulfur went away after a bit in the glass Cherry, raspberry bright red fruit, high acid, soft tannins, upfront acid has a nice round transition to a delicate finish with hints of leather and cedar.

Easy to drink and flavorful. Went very well with flatbread pizza.

Thought this wine was just ok, husband loved it. Nice complexity with bright fruits and vanilla on the nose, tons of raspberry but I thought it had a cloying sweetness and metallic, watery aftertaste. Not as dry as I like my wines but still held up to chicken and chorizo paella nicely.

Goûteux, très distinctif voir impressionnant. En respirant devient de plus en plus rond, vanillé, trop ? Excellent pour 1-2 verres, on doit donc partager !
