URUGUAY : MALDONADO Cabernet Franc MED-BODIED, BLACKBERRY, PLUM, GREEN PEPPER, MINT, EARTH, SMOKE, OAK A delightfully complex, long lasting, and overall delicious 100% Cab Franc. Uruguay currently stands as one of the most important countries in the Latin American wine world (yes, really!), with production growing every year due to its ideal location (the same latitude as the wine growing regions of Argentina), and desirably mild weather conditions under the cooling influence of Atlantic breezes. And if you don’t know, now you know. ECOLOGY: Organic FOOD PAIRING: Grilled Short Ribs with Chimichurri Sauce

After a 30 minute decant this wine from Uruguay really opens up. Silky smooth, low tannins, full bodied, dark fruit, nice color. Better than the 2016 I had a few years ago. TGIF!!

2019 vintage. Lovely. Give it ~1 hour to breathe before drinking and flavors will blend nicely without losing the dry edge.

Intense purple color with periwinkle highlights. Aromas of black fruit, asphalt and roasted poblano peppers. Pallet is rich with black fruit with hints of dark chocolate, tobacco, eucalyptus and minerals. Rich, bold and a bit rustic. Nicely balanced. Long finish.
