At this young stage the defining characteristic is acidity. Dark red fruit and rose petal but in a very light frame. Opened 48hrs and the acidity still overwhelmed the fruit, hoping a short time sideways will help balance things out a bit.

Tried another bottle. The fruit for this Pinot comes from two of the coolest, most coastal parts of this appellation, linked by the influence of the Pacific’s cool marine air, which delays ripening. Ruby with aromas of berry fruit, citrus & warm spice. On the palate, raspberry and cherry, tangy, with cedar notes & earthy tones. Bright acidity, soft expressive tannins, lingering finish ending with woody spice. Very nice, aged nicely from my last try, with room to run.

Bright. Fun. Delicious. I think it still has a few years of life ahead of it.

Nice little surprise to find this in Japan. All the good from new world but presented in an elegant manner. Great acidity to keep the fruit fresh. Bright red raspberries dancing on your palate.

Good not great. Good in summer. Light body. Cherry flavors. Fine with pasta and either fish or chicken.
